The opening heats of the women's 200m at the World Athletics Championships scheduled on Wednesday were cancelled because of the low number of entrants.
The sprinters will now go straight into the quarter-finals in the evening session later Wednesday.
The semi-finals are slated for Thursday with the final on Friday.
