Xavier's rally to draw against Dhirubhai Ambani

Dhirubhai Ambani (BKC) drew 1-1 with St Xavier's High School (Borivli) in an under-16 second division football tie of the Mumbai School Sports Association (MSSA) at Azad Maidan on Saturday.

Dhirubhai skipper Armaan Arora earned the lead in the first half itself. Shikhar Soni, after receiving a long ball, unleashed a powerful shot that rebounded off the post. Arora, lurking nearby, just had to tap the ball in.

But their joy was short-lived as St Xavier's skipper Umesh Perambra restored parity in few minutes. Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan was at his celebratory best after he scored a goal but it was ruled off-side. This saw the Ambani School settle down for a draw.

In another tie, St Francis D'Assisi 'B' (Borivli) won 10-0 over St Xavier's 'A' (Vile Parle) in a one-sided affair. Manan Shaikh netted a hat-trick, Leanch Rodrigues and Shubham scored a brace each while Jagdeep Kakade scored one.
