Youngstar Zulfikar Saria dropped a frame before getting better of seasoned Colonel Sanchis 51-40, 47-74, 57-14, 64-26 to advance into the second qualifying round of the CCI International Open Invitation Snooker Tournament in Churchgate yesterday.u00a0
Zulfikar, playing on home table, was off tou00a0 a bright start as he took the opening frame with ease. But Col Sanchis, using all his experience, turned the tables in the next.
However, Zulfikar came into his own to clinch the issue by winning the next two frames. Colonel Sanchis' daughter Aranxta, a national junior champion, too, ended on a losing note with score reading 20-52, 62-48, 29-54, 77-51, 11-56.
