Kajal, Abdul emerge national carrom champs

DM Sports Sixth seed Abdul Rahman of Uttar Pradesh stunned fourth seed Zaheer Pasha of Reserve Bank of India to win the men's singles title at the 49th LIC of India-Senior National Carrom Championship at the Shree Halari Visa Oswal Samaj Hall, Dadar, recently. Rahman beat the experienced Pasha 25-0, 21-16 to clinch his maiden national title.

In the women's competition, fifth seed Kajal Kumari of PSPB beat fourth seed Nilam Ghodke of Jain Irrigation 15-12, 17-10. Mantasha Iqbal beat Debagani Tamuly 8-25, 19-15, 22-11 to win third place among the women while Sandeep Dive beat Prashant More 25-19, 18-1 to clinch third place among men.
