The 15th edition of the men's Hockey World Cup will be held from January 13 to 29, in Odisha. The state hosted the last edition as well in 2018.
However, this time, the tournament will be hosted by two cities in the state, Rourkela and Bhubaneswar as the second venue. Hosting the Hockey World Cup for the second time, Odisha is gearing up to witness a gala event that will announce the start of the marquee hockey tournament, in which 15 nations will be taking part.
India is currently ranked at no. 6 as per the International Hockey Federation rankings.
The members of the Indian national squad of men's world cup are: Krishna Bahadur Pathak, Sreejesh Parattu Raveendran, Jarmanpreet Singh, Surendra Kumar, Harmanpreet Singh (Captain), Varun Kumar, Amit Rohidas (Vice-Captain), Neelam Sanjeep, Manpreet Singh, Hardik Singh, Neelkant Sharma, Shamsher Singh, Vivek Sagar Prasad, Akashdeep Singh, Mandeep Singh, Lalit Kumar Upadhyay, Abhishek and Sukhjit Singh, Rajkumar Pal and Jugraj Singh.
