Posing nude for SI made Paige feel empowered

American golf sensation Paige Spiranac, 29, felt empowered when she stripped for a photoshoot with Sports Illustrated in 2018. Spiranac, who has 3.3 million followers on Instagram, said posing nude on her own terms helped her overcome the incident in which her former lover leaked a nude picture of hers.

Posing for Sports Illustrated four years ago allowed Spiranac to take back the power. Speaking on her podcast, Playing-A-Round, Spiranac said: "Winning in my mind was taking control of my body. I was nude, I was completely naked. That was the best moment for me. I felt so empowered and I was like, ‘OK, if I'm going to do this, I'm doing it on my terms' and I took it back, I took my body back. That was the moment I won, right there, when I did Sports Illustrated Swimsuit."
