WWE Raw opened with 'Legend Killer' Randy Orton telling the universe who he plans to target next. After taking out WWE star Edge in 'The Greatest Wrestling Match Ever' at Backlash, he also injured Christian and Big Show on Raw in the following weeks. Today Orton simply came out and issued a challenge to Drew McIntyre for the WWE championship at Summerslam

Following Orton's announcement, Nia Jax came out to state the same as she had unfinished business against Raw women's champion Asuka. However, she was interrupted by a Shayna Baszler, as the two got into a nasty brawl. The two women then faced each other in a match which ended in a double count-out.

Andrade and Angel Garza faced The Viking Raiders and Ricochet and Cedric Alexander in a bid to determine the number one contender for the Raw tag team titles against Street Profits at WWE Summerslam and came out victorious.

Sasha Banks, who had the Raw title with her after a controversial win, faced Asuka in a bid to determine the true Raw women's champion. As both superstars put their talent to the test, it was Bayley at ringside who proved to be the catalyst. Bayley attacked Kairi Sane at ringside which prompted Asuka to make the save and get herself counted out making Sasha Banks the new Raw women's champion. Sasha and Bayley are also tag team champions.

Rey Mysterio's son Dominik came out to confront Seth Rollins and even got his hands on the Monday Night Messiah and Murphy. After the two began ganging up on him, Aleister Black came to make the save, but Murphy ended up injuring his eye.

R-Truth appeared on MVP's Lounge as Ali spoke to MVP, Lashley and Shelton Benjamin, but was unsuccessful.

Bobby Lashley faced Mustafa Ali in a singles match and showed him who is dominant on the roster with a win.

In the main event on WWE Raw, Drew McIntyre defended his title successfully against Dolph Ziggler in an Extreme Rules match, extending his reign. However, McIntyre received an RKO out of nowhere from Randy Orton to close the show.
