A colourful pageantry marked the MSSA 117th Annual Inter School Athletic Championship opening ceremony on Thursday. Students from 18 different schools, smartly attired in colourful uniform participated in the march Past Competition. Students from 17 different schools also participated in the Band Competition. A record number of 3424 competitors from 142 different schools will participate in 76 different Track and Field events, in various Boys and girls age-groups from Under - 8 to 16 years and future champions will be on view throughout the four days of the meet.
