A retired Sanskrit professor, played by veteran actor Dr Mohan Agashe, begins losing his memories as he slowly slips into Alzheimer's.
He goes missing while travelling with his daughter, and is soon fascinated by an elephant walking the streets, ultimately going on to stay with the animal's owners.

Made in 2013, award-winning Marathi feature film Astu is a revelation of the roles that children and parents need to switch with the passage of time. Astu, a couple of Sanskrit syllables that mean "So be it", was written by Sumitra Bhave and directed by her and Sunil Sukhtankar.
After doing its rounds of international film festivals, it will have two special sponsorship screenings this evening, before it hits theatres.
