Usha Uthup
When Usha Uthup drawls Darrrlliiinggg... you can't help but sing and dance along. Back in the city after six months, Uthup is looking forward to her performance at Nehru Centre, especially because of the cause she is supporting. "Alert India, which is involved with leprosy education and rehabilitation, is a good cause to be involved with.

And it's always great to come back to Mumbai with my band," she says over the phone from Chennai. The Kanjeevaram and sneaker-clad entertainer, who has been singing and performing for over 45 years, says she has got something for everybody in the audience. "I have so many youngsters who come in. I think they like it that I have kept with the times. I sing all my recent film numbers for them. But retro is where it's at."
Uthup plans to sing around 17 songs and says it's a mixed bag, because that's what she is known for. "It will include different languages as well, and Marathi for sure." "I have been getting emails ever since people found out I was performing in the city, and the maximum requests have come for the James Bond theme, Skyfall. So, that will be there for sure." But don't fret, she plans to sing all her retro hits as well, including Dum maaro dum and Shaan Se.
