At 31, Jathan decided to quit her desk job and follow her dance dream, teaching salsa and ballroom style at Terence Lewis Academy. The inspiration for pole dancing came to Jathan, thanks to her husband. He shared his pole class videos from Austria with her and she fell in love with the form. Pole fitness, that Jathan teaches, is an extension of pole dancing that uses the pole to its maximum potential as a versatile piece of fitness equipment. It works the whole body, improving flexibility, coordination, posture as well as core strength.
