Hetal Varia, 35 Voice, accent and dialect trainer
Varia trained in Indian classical singing and then decided to pursue a career in voice, studying the subject at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London. She explains that accent and dialect work have much to do with speech, the mechanics of sound and the shape of the mouth. When training people in dialects, Varia studies and breaks down languages to arrive at a teachable format. She works with actors, CEOs and public speakers. Varia helps with modulation and projection to help people improve their speaking skills. She has been a dialect coach to the primary cast of Netflix's A Suitable Boy, and has worked with various English accents as well as Indian languages like Konkani, Marathi, Gujarati, Punjabi and Bengali.

When we worked on a play recently where the language was becoming too challenging, Hetal helped us with exercises".
