Dr Ritu Karidhal Srivastava, popularly recognized as the Rocket Woman of India, is a senior scientist at the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO)

Srivastava led the recent moon exploration mission, Chandrayaan-3. She is also the one to have played a vital role in the successful Mangalyaan mission to Mars
Born in Lucknow, Srivastava joined ISRO in 1997. She holds a Bachelor`s degree in Physics from Lucknow University

She also received an ME in Aerospace Engineering from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc)
Srivastava has won many awards like ‘ISRO Young Scientist Award’ by former President APJ Abdul Kalam, ‘ISRO Team Award for MOM’, ‘ASI Team Award’ and more
