Taking on other film productions by slotting the same release date seems to have become the industry norm these days. Now word has it that Ranbir Kapoor's 'Bombay Velvet' and Aamir Khan starrer, 'Peekay', will be releasing on December 25 this year.

The release date for 'Peekay', which was earlier scheduled to release on June 6, has now been pushed to Christmas. Will this make producers of 'Bombay Velvet' rethink their release date so as to avoid a clash with an Aamir Khan film? When contacted, director Anurag Kashyap, said that they don't plan to shift their release date.

"We will stick to our plan. Of course, clashing with an Aamir Khan makes me worry but there's not much we can do about it. Right now, I am focussing on making a good film and not thinking about 'PK'.'

It is said that Ranbir is unperturbed by the latest development. A source close to the production house said that Fox Star studio has big plans centred around the release of 'Bombay Velvet'. "Ranbir will complete the shoot for the film by the end of February," adds the source.

Meanwhile, the press statement issued by Disney UTV is vague as it doesn't mention the exact release date for 'Peekay'. "Aamir Khan would not be keen on a clash; he might just get the producers to release the film around December 20," adds another source.
