Ira Khan-Nupur Shikhare reception: Aamir Khan and Shikhare family hosted a grand reception on Saturday at NMACC. The who's who of Bollywood attended the function

After tying the knot in a traditional Christian ceremony on January 10 in Udaipur, Rajasthan, actor Aamir Khan's daughter Ira Khan and Nupur Shikhare hosted a star-studded wedding reception on Saturday evening at NMACC (Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre) in Mumbai. From the Ambanis to Salman Khan to Rupali Ganguly, the event was quite star-studded. 

While all the guests posed for the paparazzi before entering the venue at the Ira Khan-Nupur Shikhare reception, superstars Shah Rukh Khan and his wife Gauri Khan skipped the red carpet. However, inside pictures of the star couple from the reception are now going viral on social media. In the first picture, Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan can be seen posing with Aamir Khan and Nupur Shikhare's mother. In the second picture, Khan is interacting with Aamir and Nupur's mother. A third picture sees Gauri and Shah Rukh captured in a candid moment as they look at the adorable newlyweds.  

For the night, Khan looked dapper in a black three-piece suit while Gauri gave a royal vibe in a velvet maroon Indian wear with a statement jhumkas.

For the Ira Khan-Nupur Shikhare reception on Saturday night, the bride's father and actor Aamir Khan arrived at the function all decked up in a black kurta that he teamed with white pajama. Ira looked beautiful in a red lehenga with minimal jewellery and a dewy makeup look. Nupur wore a black sherwani for his reception. Ira's mother Reena Dutta, and brothers Junaid and Azad Khan were also present at the reception. Junaid was seen welcoming the guests at the red carpet area. Aamir Khan's ex-wife Kiran Rao who was an active part of all the wedding festivities skipped the reception. Speaking about the same, Aamir was seen informing the paparazzi that she is unwell. 

Meanwhile, Ira Khan and Nupur Shikhare solemnized their relationship via a registered marriage at Taj Lands End, Bandra in Mumbai on January 3. They had a white wedding ceremony in Udaipur. The celebration in Rajasthan lasted for four days. Reportedly, Nupur and Ira met during the COVID-19 lockdown when Nupur was training Aamir Khan and Ira was living with her father.
