There is chatter that Shankar’s film is an adaptation of his psychological thriller Anniyan (2005). Starring Vikram, the film was based on the life of a schizophrenic man, Ambi, who has three different personalities, one of which poses a serious threat to society. The film was dubbed in Hindi and was named Aparichit. With several B-Town stars, including Ajay Devgn and Alia Bhatt, collaborating with regional filmmakers on multilingual for a pan-India release, why should Ranveer be left behind?

Coming back to the Kabir Singh actress, for the unversed, Kiara has featured in South films, including Bharat Ane Nenu (2018)  and Vinaya Vidheya Rama (2019). So, it will not be new territory for her.
