Hrithik Roshan has been continuously extending support in India’s fight against the pandemic. Yesterday, mid-day reported that he donated face masks to the frontline workers through the not-for-profit organisation, I Love Mumbai Foundation (Hrithik continues to help out, June 14). Sharing further details of his charitable act, Rahul N Kanal, Yuva Sena leader and president of the NGO, says that the star reached out to the organisation late last week. “Within 24 hours of contacting us, he sent 10,000 masks from his [lifestyle brand] HRX, to be distributed among frontline workers and citizens. Besides congratulating us for our relief measures, Hrithik asked us to keep him informed about our initiatives as he wants to throw his weight behind them,” says Kanal.

This comes only a week after Roshan donated Rs 20 lakh to the Cine and TV Artistes’ Association (CINTAA). Last month, he had donated USD 15,000 towards Help India Breathe fundraiser. “Hrithik has also asked us to inform him if people need dry ration kits,” adds Kanal.
