New Delhi: An award winning Slovakian film, 'Predators of Transylvania', by a differently abled filmmaker Júlia Kolenáková will be screened in the short film competition at the 1st International Film Festival for the Persons with Disabilities (IFFPwD) 2015 from December 1-3 2015 at Siri Fort, New Delhi.

Starring Marek Suchitra, Mária Bernáthová, Karol Trnka, Karol Trnka, the movie is about a ferocious wolf chasing two kids in a scary forest. To escape from its sharp fangs, they climb up a tree. The dawn comes and the first rays of sun reveal that the truth is different than what it seems.
The director of the 7-minute animated film Julia Kolenakova is hearing impaired and the music was composed in the film was created by visually impaired Ondrej Rosik.
The Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPwD), Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India has collaborated with National Film Development Corporation (NFDC) to organise IFFPwD for the first time. The unique three-day film festival will conclude on December 3 which is also observed as the International day of Persons with Disabilities.
Awanish Kumar Awasthi, Joint Secretary, DEPwD, MoSJE, said, "The endeavor of the festival is to give the opportunity to those who deserve a platform with such immense talent and no matter what the challenge in life, there is nothing impossible in the realm of creativity and aspiration to achieve."
