Paper rangolis

Diwali is just around the corner and to mark the occasion, this year, skip the usual powder colour or flower rangolis and instead experiment with paper rangolis. Ahmedabad-based paper artist Vaishali Parikh is showcasing her collection of artworks and paper rangolis at Artisans’.

Paper rangolis

These paper rangolis can be placed on the floor, as a decorative element for ceremonies or celebrations. The rangolis are hand-cut and assembled from layers of paper; they are light and portable as well.

Parikh will also be showcasing bespoke wedding invitations, social stationery, block-printed stoles and her Tree of Life paintings.

In her art, she uses shades of peach, salmon pink, beige, brown and olive green. She has also created screen paintings (made using black and white pens) and ink works, originally created for wedding cards.

Till: October 14, 11 am to 7 pm
At: Artisans’, VB Gandhi Marg, Kala Ghoda.
