A book reading this week will inform participants about the many diverse trees that can be found in the country. It’s called Have You Ever Climbed a Tree, and follows the adventures of a girl name Riniki, who dreams of scaling trees all over India, and thus climbs different varieties like jackfruit, chinar and khejri. Priyadarshini Gogoi (in pic), a writer from Assam, has penned the title, and this is her fourth picture book. Shinibali Mitra Saigal, a senior editor at Pratham Books, has conceptualised the reading, while Dr Bhau Daji Lad Museum will be presenting it.
