Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to commence a two-day visit to Jharkhand, starting Tuesday, where he will partake in a roadshow and inaugurate multiple initiatives, stated a report in PTI.

According to the PTI report, upon arriving at Birsa Munda Airport in the evening, PM Modi will be welcomed by Governor CP Radhakrishnan and Chief Minister Hemant Soren. His visit will kick off with a 10-km roadshow to Raj Bhavan, involving greetings from BJP workers at various points along the route, the report added.

On Wednesday, he plans to launch a substantial Rs 24,000 crore initiative focusing on the upliftment of Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs) on 'Janjatiya Gaurav Divas.' Additionally, PM Modi will inaugurate the 'Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra,' release the 15th instalment of Rs 18,000 crore under the PM-KISAN scheme, and inaugurate projects valued at Rs 7,200 crore in various sectors across the state, the PTI report stated.

Reportedly, during his visit, the PM will visit the Bhagwan Birsa Munda Memorial Park-cum-Freedom Fighter Museum in Ranchi and pay respects at Birsa Munda's birthplace in Ulihatu village, Khunti district, a first for any Prime Minister.

The 'Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra' aims to increase awareness and extend the benefits of welfare schemes like sanitation, financial services, electricity, housing, food security, healthcare, and clean water to communities. It will begin in tribal-dominated districts and extend nationwide by January 25, the report added.

Modi will also launch the 'Pradhan Mantri Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PM PVTG) Mission,' providing basic facilities to PVTG habitations in remote and scattered areas across 18 states.

Official sources were quoted in agency reports saying the programme, called the PVTG Development Mission, will mark a significant advancement in the empowerment of tribal people and be the first of its type. The plan to enhance the socioeconomic circumstances of the PVTG was unveiled in the budget for 2023–2024. The goal will be accomplished by combining eleven actions from nine ministries under a variety of current welfare programmes that address drinking, rural housing, and roads. According to officials, some scheme rules would be loosened to include these isolated settlements.

Infrastructure projects in rail, road, education, coal, petroleum, and natural gas sectors are on the agenda, including the inauguration of IIM Ranchi's new campus, among others.

Following these events, PM Modi will return to Delhi on Wednesday afternoon. Traffic restrictions and security measures have been enforced in light of the visit, while the administration has imposed Section 144 in Ranchi to regulate gatherings due to a scheduled protest.
