Batting first, Mumbai Municipal managed 139-8 from their 20 overs. Abhijit Gawade and Dhiraj Solanki scored 25 each while Hrishikesh Patkar and Ravi Shinde chipped in with 22 apiece to lift the innings. Medium pacer Mahesh Naik (2-22) and off-spinner DS Garje (2-28) were the pick of the bowlers for BEST. In reply, the BEST top-order batters failed miserably and were finally restricted to just 115-8 in 20 overs. Middle-order batter Nilesh Kharmale took the fight to the opposition and managed 42, but it was not enough to help his team chase down the target. Devraj Gaikwad scored 19 while Mumbai Municipal pacer Yogeshwar Kadoo (2-6) and left-arm pacer Dhiraj Solanki (2-37) put the brakes on the BEST batsmen and guided their team to victory.
