Former England star striker Teddy Sheringham, who was unveiled as the new coach of Indian Super League (ISL) team Atletico de Kolkata on Saturday, accepted his ignorance when quizzed about his knowledge of Indian football. But the Manchester United legend assured that, "with the help of Ashley Westwood (Technical Director), we want to make a team that will hopefully progress to win ISL."

"I was told about the football in India and the crazy fans. Hope we are able to excite them as well," said the Champions League winner.
Sheringham, 51, would have to start with the added pressure of being the defending champions. "It’s a lovely opportunity for me and Ashley to win ISL. The pressure will obviously be there but I am quite used to the pressure factor being a player of United."
