KDMA Kanpur shocked Rizvi Springfield by six wickets in the final to lift the Coca-Cola Cup Under-16 cricket tournament, Inter-state leg, which concluded at the Western Railway ground in Mahalaxmi yesterday.
Opting to bat, Rizvi were bundled out for 106 and in reply, the Kanpur side achieved the target, losing four wickets in 20.3 overs.u00a0

It was not the best of starts for KDMA with two batsmen back in the pavilion with the scoreboard reading just 10. But Amit Pachara steadied the ship with an unbeaten 60 off 49 deliveries. Pachara along with skipper Ayush Atri (29 not out) steered the visitors to victory.
For Rizvi too it was spin that worked — left-arm spinner Yash Chavan grabbing two for 48 from his nine overs.u00a0Winners KDMA will take home a purse of Rs 1 lakh, while Rizvi earned Rs 70,000. Rizvi all-rounder Sarfaraz Khan was adjudged Man of the Series for his 305 runs and nine wickets.
Meanwhile, 20 of the best players selected from the tournament will attend a week long coaching clinic from May 1 to 7 at the Mumbai Cricket Association ground in Bandra-Kurla Complex. u00a0
