A seven-race afternoon card is slated for Friday, and the Byculla Club Trophy, to be run over 2,800 meters, is billed as the prime event. Only four runners will be in the fray, and whosoever wishes to win will have to beat Severus, trained by B Prakash and to be ridden by A Sandesh. Severus will be bidding for the second hat-trick of his career, and will most probably achieve it.

Phoenix Knight in the Indian Air Force Trophy, another prestigious event on the card, shapes as a good bet in the hands of Suraj Narredu. The race is reserved for older horses (5y & over), and a narrow loss at the hands of younger Monte Greco a month ago on this track should enhance Phoenix Knight's prospects in the older set.
