Khushi Kapoor, Vedang Raina Pic/Yogen Shah
Bollywood's rumoured Gen-Z couple Khushi Kapoor and Vedang Raina who have been spotted together on multiple occasions but yet haven't made anything official were seen once again at the same event in Mumbai. The two sashayed in style at the opening of Tiffany & Co's India Flagship Boutique in the city.
Khushi stunned in a black blazer dress while Vedang kept it chic in a navy blue tie-top and charcoal grey pants paired with a black velvet jacket.
Both Khushi and Vedang made their acting debut with Zoya Akhtar's 'The Archies'. The coming-of-age musical film follows the lives of Archie, Betty, Veronica, Jughead, Reggie, Ethel, and Dilton, and takes audiences to the fictional hilly town of Riverdale. The film explored friendship, freedom love, heartbreak, and rebellion. It also starred Suhana Khan and Agastya Nanda.
Earlier this year, Khushi and her sister Janhvi Kapoor graced the famous couch of Karan Johar's chat show 'Koffee With Karan'. When the filmmaker asked Khushi, "So, conjecture goes that you are dating Vedang Raina?" "You know that scene in Om Shanti Om, where a row of people saying 'Om and I are just good friends'", replied Khushi Kapoor.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Khushi will be seen opposite Aamir Khan's son Junaid Khan in the Hindi adaptation of the Tamil rom-com, Love Today (2022). Laal Singh Chaddha (2022) director Advait Chandan is set to take the film on floors this summer and is currently neck-deep in pre-production. A source close to the development reveals, "The makers plan to roll the project around April-May. The final script is ready, and casting for supporting characters is underway."
Love Today, helmed by Pradeep Ranganathan, revolves around a couple who are compelled to swap their phones for a day at the behest of the girl's father. Ranganathan headlined the runaway hit with Ivana. The material will naturally be tweaked according to the Hindi-speaking audience's taste. Sneha Desai, one of the writers on Kiran Rao's much-loved âLaapataa Ladies', has reportedly penned the remake with another writer. The source adds, "The film will be shot primarily in Delhi."
Vedang on the other hand has âJigra' with Alia Bhatt. Helmed by Vasan Bala, the film is all set to hit the theatres on September 27, 2024. It is a tale of a sister's love for her brother and how she would do anything to protect him.
