Dhadak box office collection day 1: Janhvi and Ishaan's film mints Rs 8.71 crore

Dhadak introducing Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter, collected, 8.71 crores first day at the box office on day 1, highest opening for newcomers. The film, which was one of the most anticipated films of 2018 finally released on Friday, July 20. There was a huge buzz around the film ever since it's inception. The duo left no stones unturned to promote their film.

Dhadak, an official adaptation of Marathi blockbuster film Sairat is being appreciated by the audiences. The wait to watch Ishaan and Janhvi on the big screen is over and they are already receiving love from all over. They portray the characters of Madhukar and Parthavi in the film. The film collected âÂÂu00c2u0082¹8.71 crores on it's first day at the box ffice. This opening day collection of Dhadak is highest for a film lead by fresh faces, beating Student of the Year, which collected approximately 8 crore on it's first day.

Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter starrer has been receiving mixed reviews. However, the industry insiders, who have watched the film, have hailed both, Ishaan's simplicity of acting with natural ease and Janhvi's emotional maturity in Dhadak.

The film has been helmed by Shashank Khaitan, who has earlier directed Humpty Sharma ki Dulhania and Badrinath Ki Dulhania. Produced under the banner of Karan Johar's Dharma Productions and Zee Studios, the film has high potential of surviving the box office competition.
