Here's a dog who is following his master's footsteps. Tenor, singer and composer Raghav Sachar's four-and-half year-old prize-winning Labrador Retriever, can actually sing. Like master, like dog, what say? Raghav talks about how he discovered this talent in his pet:

Sing along

"I had booked Tenor just before I went to Mauritius to shoot for my album 24 Karat. It has a particular song called Dil Hai Tanha. One day at an interview, I was playing that song and Tenor started to sing. Everyone was shell-shocked. From that day, on many occasions when I play that track, he starts singing. I want to do a duet with him now.

Puppy love

Tenor is an extremely obedient and well-trained dog. He barks, sits, walks as well as sneezes on command. "All the normal stuff he's learnt from his trainer but he gets his weird streak from me," says Raghav. Tenor has won a number of prizes in dog shows as the best breed dog as well as for obedience and physical activities.

Two's company

Tenor is peaceful and doesn't bark or yell. When I return from work I jump at him or just put my head on his back. I use him as a pillow. As a rule, Tenor sleeps beside me for five-ten minutes at night before he goes to his bed. He can be quite lazy, so I need to play with him so that he's more active. We go together for walks, cycling and long drives. Like me, he also loves long drives outside the city. On long drives, he loves to stare proudly out of the window. It's his way of telling other dogs, 'Look guys, I am travelling in a car'.

Spoilt brat

He's extremely pampered by everyone in the house. I have to tell him that he's a good boy a million times in the day. He would prefer to stay in my recording room while I'm making music, but I don't allow it. But he always comes and sits with me when I play the piano in the living room. If I feel that I will be late at home, I make sure my cook has fed Tenor. He also loves it when I give him a shower, he'll put up his paws and tell me to clean them one by one.
