So how does our new governor Hans Raj Bharadwaj differ from his predecessors? Guess? Well, he has friends in 'filmi' places.
Our governor decided to grace the muhurtha of Kannada film Mandahasa, held a few days ago.u00a0 He also spoke as the chief guest and let us know that he was a huge fan of Tamil music maestro A R Rahman.
Our governor seems to be quite a film buff and also let us know that he was quite good friends with the famous NTR and MGR. Like that wasn't a shocker enough, he then added that Dileep Kumar, the famous Bollywood veteran, was also quite a close friend.
The list however doesn't end there. He let us in on his association with former chief minister of Tamil Nadu, J Jayalalitha and film producer B R Chopra. His graciousness visited the muhurtha at the request of producer Basava Reddy. Kannada film producer Parvathamma Rajkumar was also present.
Bharadwaj knew 'Annavru' personally too and was immensely impressed by his message-oriented films. "Today's young actors are handsome but they can never replace legends like Dr Raj," he said in passing.
His favourite film however gave us quite a surprise. 'Sound of Music' is not often said to be a governor's favourite film.
