Kichcha Sudeep and Darshan
Kannada actor Darshan has been in the news after he was arrested in the Renukaswamy murder case. He along with his friend and actor Pavithra Gowda are in custody and being interrogated as accused in the case. Actor Kichcha Sudeep who is a part of the Kannada film industry has reacted to the case and demanded justice to the victim and his unborn child.
Talking to India Today, Kichcha Sudeep said, "We are only aware of what the media is showing to us because we are not going to the police station to get the information. It looks like the media and the police are working hard to uncover the truth. There's no doubt about that... that family deserves justice. That girl deserves justice. Renukaswamy, who died on the streets, deserves justice. The unborn child deserves justice. Above all, everyone should have faith in justice, and justice should prevail in this case."
The actor further spoke about the impact of the case on the film industry as a whole. "Everyone's heart goes out to that family. The atmosphere doesn't feel right. The film industry should get justice. All the blame seems to be placed on the film industry. The industry needs a clean chit. There are many artists involved. Cinema is not just one or two people. The film industry will be relieved if the culprit is punished."
Darshan was taken into custody by the Bengaluru police on June 11. It is alleged that Renukaswamy, who worked with a pharmacy company and hailed from the district headquarters town of Chitradurga, had made derogatory comments against actress Pavithra Gowda, who is reportedly a friend of Darshan, in social media posts, the sources said. The actress is also detained by police for questioning.
