Pre-pandemic, Pride Month was celebrated across the globe with an infectious spirit. From boisterous Pride parades, dazzling performances to quirky meet-ups, June was nothing short of a queer festival. While in-person events may have taken a hit for a second consecutive year, online events have enabled the LGBTQIA+ community and allies to engage in fun and enriching experiences. As the last weekend of Pride month approaches, we have rounded up an interesting mix of Pride themed online experiences for you to attend from the safety of your homes.
Parenting upskill
The role of parenting is indisputable in shaping individuals, it becomes all the more significant for parents of queer children to be sensitive and conscious. Psychotherapist Aarthi Selvan will be holding space and sharing her views on nuanced parenting for queer children. The online interaction is aimed to present actionable ways through which parents can learn to be sensitive towards the needs of their children and to make way for healthy communication that will enable two-way dialogue. Rainbow cocktails
Pioneering flair bartender Ami Shroff and mixologist Fay Barretto are conducting Somewhere over the Rainbow- a special Pride-themed mixology workshop. If you're in the mood to have some fun this weekend and crave some vibrant gin-based cocktails, Ami and Fay will teach you how to whip up rainbow cocktails. Using a variety of ingredients from saffron to blue curacao, they will create seven multi-hued cocktails representing the colours of the Pride flag. Queer jam
The Live Anywhere concert curated by Gaysi Family in association with Keshav Suri Foundation is meant to be a space for LGBTQIA+ artists to express themselves freely and use their voices to share their joy, truth, love, and heartbreak. Hosted by Gaysi Family's digital editor Tejaswi, the line-up comprises of queer performers, Doel Rakshit, Leo Kalyan, Abhinaya Nair, and Krishna K. If you're looking to unwind over a musical evening, the Live Anywhere concert is worth checking out.

Stories of empathy
There is no better way to empathise with and understand different realities than to listen to stories. Presented by Taboodana and hosted by Mumbai-based theatre artist and story discoverer Lopamudra Mohanty, the event will bring to listeners insightful discussions and stories that will be centred on familiarising, normalising, and accepting undefined dimensions of self and those around us. The storytelling event will be conducted via zoom but prior registration is required via Insider.

Open Mic
One Future Collective is hosting an open mic to celebrate LGBTQIA+ voices. Performers will be captivating audiences with stand-up, musical acts, poetry reading, and much more.
