As winter sets in, these come off as perfect items for layering, which holds the key to seamlessly blend style with comfort in a breezy weather. May it be faux leather jackets, trench coats, shrugs or woollen sweatshirts, bodycon dresses and tops can be layered or worn underneath a wide range of items providing a trendy fashionable look.
Moreover, a range of bodycon tops and dresses designed for winter season, especially in solid colours, make for a perfect minimalistic and classy collection. One can always opt for widely available eye-catching woollens and rib-knit tops. These can be paired with denims, skirts and chunky boots or sneakers to complete the look.
Digital fashion content creator Isha Borah says, "Bodycon dresses and tops made of these fabrics can keep you warm and at the same accentuate your body. You can easily pair these dresses and tops with mufflers and other hair accessories to look stylish in winter."
Here's a quick guide by Borah for styling different bodycon items:
Strap-sleeves: Strap sleeve bodycon dresses or tops can be worn over a turtleneck to get a chic and smart look that can hardly go wrong. Pair it with denims if you are wearing this layered look with a top. Complete the look with a pair of sneakers. You can also wear an arm cover crop top over a strap sleeve bodycon dress or top. In case you do not have an arm cover crop top or a turtleneck, then you can wear a buttoned down loose shirt. Keep the buttons open and tie a knot with both the ends to get a sleek look.
Full-sleeves: If you are opting for a full sleeved bodycon dress, then all you need is a long jacket to get a stylish look. You can even opt for a denim jacket, a faux leather jacket, or a faux fur jacket depending on the event for which you are dressing. As for full sleeved bodycon tops, those are super-easy to pair and layer. You can wear one with a pair of denims or a short skirt. If you are wearing it with a short skirt, complement the look by wearing a pair of stockings. You can even layer this look by wearing a blazer or a jacket. Also, since you are planning to wear it in winters, make sure to buy one that is made of wool of rib-knit.
Half-sleeves: You can wear your bodycon dress or top that you bought in summer during the winters. If you have a half sleeved bodycon dress or a top, you can opt for a sweater underneath. To complete the dress-look, opt for thermals to feel cozy and warm. If you are going for the top and sweater look, then wear well-fitting denims. For both the looks, you can wear long boots. If you want a glam look, you can choose the top and pair it with a long body-fitting skirt. Not only will the fit accentuate your build but also make you look super-glam if you complete it by wearing a pair of heels.
Sleeveless: Sleeveless bodycon dresses and tops can also be worn during winters. If you want to get the edgy and smart look, you can opt for a faux leather jacket and chunky jewelry. You can also wear a sleeveless bodycon top with a pair of faux leather leggings and boots, if the weather is just pleasant and not too cold.
