With the ongoing Durgotsav celebrations, check out an exhibition that combines traditional rituals with arts.u00a0
The theme for the exhibition is the cultural heritage of India along with the rhythm of life and energy. The exhibition will showcase a total of 50 paintings, which includes 30 by adult artists, 20 by children and an addition of 15 photographs. Some of the participating artists are Utpal Mazumder, Lopa Basu, Krishna Mukherjee, Probir Mukherjee and Prateek Tandon.
Artist Utpal Muzumdar says, "The exhibition aims to promote art and artists who are associated with cultural activities. Art is the silent communicator which depicts cultural integration and we want people to talk about art."
The exhibition is also a great platform for children growing outside of Paschim Bongo to get familiar with their roots and it allows children to showcase their talent in art and photography and learn from renowned artists.
"Children think differently. We need to promote budding artists. The paintings and photographs on display are colorful and depict the fervour of the celebrations," adds Muzumdar.
