What is Blade Free LASIK?
There are 2 types of LASIK, Conventional and Femtosecond or Blade-free LASIK. In a conventional type the corneal flap is created with an automated microsurgical instrument called the micro-keratome. While in Femtosecond LASIK which 
is 100% blade
free procedure uses fully automated laser technique to create the flap..

What do I expect on the day of LASIK?
LASIK is an out patient procedure, where hospitalization is not required, no injection is needed and it is completely painless procedure. It takes less than 10 seconds to remove 1 diopter of number. Total time for the procedure is less than 3-4 minutes pereye.

When can I resume work post LASIK?
Most people are comfortable to join work within 1-2 days after LASIK surgery.

Are there any side effects of LASIK?
LASIK is a time-tested technology, side effects include dry eyes, glare and haloes, which with time subsides within few months after the surgery.

What are other options available to remove glasses?
Other options include PRK (PhotoRefractive Keratectomy) and SMILE (Small Incision Lenticule Extraction).

What if my glass power is beyond 14 Diopter?
With this new technology called phakic intraocular lens, glass power as high as upto -30 diopter can also be removed within minutes. It is reserved for people who's number cannot be corrected by LASIK, PRK or SMILE. In this technique a customised lens is implanted into the eye for correcting the vision without taking out the natural lens.
