The syllabus for IIT JEE Mains mostly includes the concepts covered in class XI and XII science. Yet, there is a literal industry at work, coaching aspiring students in preparation for these examinations. There is a gap in the knowledge available and a fair and efficient way to teach it.

Big institutes offer intensive, time-consuming courses to students. They cost more than one lakh rupees on average, but in the mass production of aspirants, the quality of education and interest in the subject is abandoned.

In opposition to the aforementioned institutes that focus on the extensive worksheet and question paper solving, Professor Devendra Kr Saini believes in explaining the basics of the subjects first to build a strong foundation towards it in all his students.

Hailing from Lisariya, a small village in the Sikar district of Rajasthan, he grew up in a craft-oriented family and showed seminal interest in chemistry, which he followed into higher education and onwards into a teaching career.

With over six years of teaching experience, he is currently the Director and Educator at Prayas Institute and WOC, where he takes both offline and online classes. His primary focus is Chemistry, and he uses a fast-paced but accessible way of speaking and simplifies the rules of the subject with easy to remember aphorisms.

His current goal is to take the specialised training for IIT entrance exams to a national level of impact and provide the training at an affordable price. Although hampered by the COVID 19 pandemic, he is still working strong and constant with his colleagues to realize his vision. His farsightedness has been proven with questions from his syllabus appearing in JEE Mains and NEET.

A quick visit to his YouTube channel WOC shows how he painstakingly covers every aspect of Redox chemistry in a one-shot video, from the theoretical necessity of oxidation numbers to the practical uses and applications of titration. He ends with a discussion of question types that might appear in the exams and the easiest ways to solve them.

In the beginning of this particular class Professor Devendra Kr. Saini shares a self-composed proverb, preaching the benefits of walking off the beaten path in order to gain recognition from the world. And his method and energy of teaching complicated scientific concepts with humour and ease prove its truth by the end.
