When Broken Hearts Meet

When Broken Hearts Meet by bestselling author Arushi Vats is not just another romance novel. The plot is simple and steadily paced, yet the narration is quite entertaining and that makes this book a page turner. Some of the incidents from the story are relatable to the young boys and girls out there.

Arushi, who holds an MA from Brunel University London where she learnt Creative Writing, has impeccably described human emotion after a heartbreak. The readers who believe that one cannot understand the pain unless they go through it, may dismiss that thought after reading this one.

Avanti meets Suhaas. They become friends. Avanti is a conflicted girl, shattered in the tussle between her past and present and Suhaas is the typical prince charming who has two sides, one which he keeps to himself and the other which he shows to everyone. As their story proceeds ahead, both of them begin to feel affinity for each other. But deep in the realms of their hearts dwells chaos that occurs because of their past relationships. Avanti and Suhaas's friends make efforts to unite them as they know that they love each other. Eventually, it's up to Suhaas if he will confess his love or not but the important question arises here is, will Avanti find the courage to leave behind her tumultuous past and embrace her love story?

Though Avanti might appear a bit immature and dull-headed to some readers, let's not forget that she is just 20, and people like her who do not listen to anybody do exist. A few of the arguments between Avanti and Suhaas and between Avanti and her friends are a bit illogical, but the thing that stands out about this book is that Arushi shows how ego can kill a relationship. Both Suhaas and Avanti had their egos coming in between them.

It is said that you can't accept your present if you keep dwelling over your past. However, is it really that easy to forget the pain one's past may give? One should definitely read this book to go through a roller coaster ride of emotions and feel what exactly happens when two broken hearts meet.

My Better Half Forever fame bestselling author Arushi Vats has also written other popular books like Fragile Strings and Oasis in the Desert and Other Stories. Currently, she is working on her fifth book.
