The study of 4000 women by British pawnbroker Borro found that a woman's most treasured possessions are phones and photographs than boyfriends.

A majority of women have said that they would be lost without their mobile but would happily go without a man in their lives.

The study found the majority of women see their mother as their most prized possession followed closely by their photographs and then their mobile phone.

The figures released yesterday, found that four in every 10 women said they would be lost if they were left without their phone.

Other than their phones and mothers, woman treasured their friends more than then their boyfriends as well.

Also making the list of most treasured items in a woman's life were diamond rings, pets, laptops and hair straighteners.

In fact, a large number of those surveyed said that they would consider dumping their boyfriend or husband if offered more than 1 million dollars cash to do so.

Anne Hollonds from Relationship Australia said the survey's results showed the changing focus of what is important in many women's lives.
