This Saturday, two pop-ups bring eco-conscious shopping and holistic wellness workshops to city folk

Sustainable apparel by Windie

Mindful shopping

What we need is all things organic under one roof, and we're not talking about a farmer's market. Yogisattva's Organic Courtyard opens its seventh season pop-up, bringing together sustainable apparel, cosmetics, food and lifestyle brands. This festival is also a chance to meet the like-minded folks who run sustainably-made, organic products and be a part of a community that shares similar core beliefs and values.

In this edition, founder of Yogisattva, Raveena Taurani brings us a carefully curated selection of brands to help you buy consciously and ethically. Shop long-lasting quality clothing from Windie and Greendigo Organic Clothing, and pair your new looks with traditional and modern accessories by Curated Curiosities. A highlight for skincare aficionados will be Tvachamrit, a PETA-approved and certified skincare brand, and Sharisa India, for their holistic makeup products. If you're looking for a clean, gourmet food platform, Wholespoon's cooking pastes and sauces will be a good addition to the home pantry. Giving ‘shop local' its true meaning is Good Graze, selling vegan coconut-based products made from their non-GMO coconuts grown at their Sindhudurg farm.

Nothing is complete until you eat. No surprises for guessing the highlight of this seasonal menu - mangoes. On the menu are a Jamaican jerk jackfruit and mango wrap, yaki onigiri miso tofu with mango avocado, and mango pista kulfi. Everything on the menu is organic, vegan, gluten-free and refined sugar-free from Yogisattva's kitchen. In partnership with Shaan Khanna, founder of Networking Now, this season will also comprise a meet-up for entrepreneurs building eco-conscious brands. Open to visitors, this meet might offer you a chance to further your understanding of ethical shopping and its importance.

On: April 30, 10 am to 10 pm; networking meet-up from 4 pm to 6 pm
At: Yogisattva cafe, Bandra West.

Peace within the concrete jungle

As ironic as it may sound, expect a jam-packed schedule of wellness and healing workshops to help you to slow down and recuperate from stress. The Wellness Sanctuary with Way Well at the G5A Warehouse offers you a chance to customise an immersive wellness experience conducted by over 30 experts from India. The workshops, talks and sessions extend beyond usual wellness routines into meaningful avenues of holistic healing like sound healing, guided meditation, yoga, Reiki healing and more.

Meditation workshop at a Way Well event held earlier

One such meditation session will be conducted to the soothing rhythms of Mihir Chandan's handpan. A "mellifluous slowing down of time," Chandan calls it. Art expressive and movement therapy with Bharati Jaisingh will explore the depths of your imagination. And a valid excuse to step out in yoga pants is Anushka Jagtiani's Hatha Yoga class. The pop-up will also include foot massages from the School For Blind. In addition to the workshops, head to the pop-up stores, and try a special menu by PORT Restaurant and Bar to complete your wellness journey with nourishing food.

The goal of Way Well is to reshape wellness. Founder Alekha Advani says, "It's time to make traditional and non-traditional wellness solutions and offerings more accessible." Advani curates wellness experiences with a purpose, which promise to make a difference for participants. These sessions will allow you to untangle thoughts and find a connection with yourself.
