Content consumption is always evolving - from personal blogs to newsletters, image posts to video, and written to audio formats. So if you have something to say or an audience to reach, upskilling is the keyword. Podcasting has been widely embraced by consumers, drawing the attention of creators as an important avenue to reach a larger audience. If this is a journey you want to start out on, head to Bound and Hubhopper's free podcasting workshop, From Writer to Podcaster.
The workshop is specifically structured for writers looking to create audio content. Tara Khandelwal, founder, Bound, shares that the session will address the writer community's pain points and help creators go beyond writing, adapt editorial instincts and hone their skills to suit the audio medium.
Anurag Manik, workshop instructor, podcaster and host of M-Square that ranks third in India on Apple Podcast, shares that the session covers frameworks and tools to create engaging scripts, how to find your niche, develop storytelling formats, speaking into the mic, and branding and marketing your podcast to develop a listenership.
"When choosing the right topic, we think about what we like to speak about and what the listener wants to hear, and bridge that gap. Think of it this way, what was that one subject in school that peers would come to you for, or the topic that friends come to you for advice on," he explains.

The workshop will also include activities to identify the type of storyteller you are - a gift or a journey format storyteller - so that attendees can create scripts in sync with their natural style. This is a two-series workshop with the next session scheduled in November. The second workshop will help podcasters and audio enthusiasts hone their writing skills.
