Organiser Nehal Shah wants enthusiasts to experience music in its original form at the session
The Vinyl Bazaar is a one-day pop-up event for you to relive everything analogue and vintage. A concept conceived by India Record Company in association with Adagio, Mumbai, the event is everything that music enthusiasts and record collectors need for a day immersed in authentic music.
"We would like to promote the analogue culture in a digital world. In a time where everything sounds just perfect, we are keen to introduce the rawness that the artiste would like to put forth to the world through their art," says Nehal Shah, founder of India Record Company. Visitors will have access to audio cassettes, posters, a movie screening, vinyl listening sessions and vinyl swaps. They will also be able to engage in swaps with fellow vinyl enthusiasts.

"The digital streaming world compresses the file, and that is not how the artiste intended the listeners to consume the music. The analogue world keeps the originality of the sound in the cackle and the sizzle of the record. There is no skipping to the next song; a true relationship is built with the artiste and the listener. This is an intrinsic part of our idea for such events," shares Shah. The organisers have also thrown in pop-up thrift shops, food and beverages, as well as a stick and poke tattoo avenue for the tad adventurous. The icing on the cake is a listening session of Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon which Shah unabashedly calls the "greatest vinyl album".
