For a Swiftie, the most popular question since Taylor Swift began her Eras Tour on March 17 has been, "Which Taylor Swift era are you?" While this writer feels torn between Midnights, Folklore and Lover, for Pune-based Sharvari Jadhav, it has always been Reputation. "If you ask me about my favourite song, it'll be Love story because I was 12 when I first heard it, and I fell in love with Taylor Swift almost instantly. But as for my era, it will always be Reputation. At its core, the Rep era is about choosing who you trust wisely, relishing in private contentment and putting your peace first," Jadhav tells us.
Merchandise will include polaroids
Jadhav, who calls herself a âhardcore Swiftie', is set to bring her first-ever Swiftie Night to Mumbai this weekend at a Santacruz venue. Also the founder of Quanterra Events, this will be Jadhav's fourth Swiftie night. "Our first event in Pune had nearly 400 people. For the second one, over 800 fans turned up. It almost felt like a concert. Just thinking about it gives me chills," the 23-year-old recalls, adding that this one in Mumbai will also mark the beginning of her pan-India tour.

The theme of this event runs parallel to the Eras Tour, and patrons can come in dressed as whatever era they best connect with. "They could choose from Red, Lover, Reputation, Folklore, Fearless, 1989, Speak now; the list seems endless," she laughs and further informs us that around 50 songs are to be played on an LED wall, which will include a mix of music videos and live performances.
TS Eras Tour-inspired friendship bands
"As is tradition with any Taylor-Swift meet-up, there'll be friendship bands exchanged, and various other stalls that will sell merchandise like paper rings, hoodies and T-shirts, Polaroids, and trinkets and jewellery directly inspired from the eras, among others. We are also hosting a give-away during this event, and a quiz. The winner will get a hamper that will be a package of all things Swift," she informs us, adding excitedly that among the nearly 450 people expected will be social media influencer Apoorva Mukhija, AKA The Rebel Kid, who claims to be one of the biggest Swifties of all time.
Paper rings for hopeless romantics
"I started the Pune Swiftie Club seven years ago, and now it has become this community of Swifties with so much love to offer. As for my Swiftie Nights, I feel that is the best way that people who cannot attend the Eras Tour can connect with both Taylor Swift and likeminded people around them," Jadhav signs off.

If you followed the Eras Tour, you will know how most of Swift's looks are incomplete without boots. So, if you want to pull off a Taylor Swift look, wearing long boots with any outfit should do the trick. But if you're looking for a more specific era, this is what I did for a previous night which was Bejeweled-themed: I went for an all-silver look, with a fringed silver tank top, shiny eye liner, long black boots and of course, a friend to twin with! If Midnights Era is your era, you can opt for silver like us, or even go for red overalls.

>> By creating a fusion of her looks, you can pay tribute to both the Eras and Taylor Swift's evolution. For instance, go for a classic cut Tee with images/graphics of a cover or tour artwork. A high-waisted pair of denim shorts or a denim skirt to create a country vibe as inspired from her early career. Wear cowgirl boots and accessorise with layered necklaces and hoop earrings.
>> A perfect and easy last-minute look to create would be a retro look. You can wear a fitted flare dress to enhance your silhouette of that era, preferably polka dots/florals or stripes, as Taylor Swift does. Style a high pony or a retro hairstyle with soft curls and artificial bangs. For footwear, opt for pumps or ballet flats.
>> The most coveted Taylor Swift (TS) look would be the Versace bodysuit look. It captures classic and modern elements. It can be created by sewing on multiple crystals and coloured stones in an abstract formation on a simple lycra bodysuit or a double layer of lycra and power net. Wear a pair of knee length boots and glue the stones in a similar fashion over it. There should be no gaps in the body suit or boots. Fill out with stones, glass beads and crystals.
>> Next, wear nylon pantyhose under the bodysuit to get the sleek shimmer look as in Taylor Swift's legs. Red matte lipstick and red nail art are a must to complete the look. Last but not the least: carry your outfits with confidence and smile like TS does.
