Parasmal Jain, a prime suspect in the Pawanraje Nimbalkar case, may have spilled the beans about the case, but is languishing in jail for other crimes.

Varsha Badala (19), Parasmal's daughter, alleged that the police wanted to kill her father in an encounter. She added that they tried to sideline the case and booked her father under false cases of robbery and Arms Act.

All Quiet: Krishna Saraswati housing society in Dombivli where Varsha Badala, the daughter of prime suspect Parasmal Jain, lives.

"We want him punished for his crime. But he must not be booked for false cases," said Varsha.

"My father told me that he got involved in Nimbalkar's murder because he wanted money for his treatment. He is HIV positive.

He said he had told the Crime Branch the same thing, but they didn't take any action.

They planned to kill him in an encounter because he was an eye witness," added Varsha.

She said her father did not shoot Nimbalkar. "My father knew Mohan Shukla, who has been arrested by the CBI.

He wanted money and asked Shukla for work. Shukla asked my father to get shooters to kill Nimbalkar.

My father arranged for them and was in the same car from which the shooters shot Nimbalkar and his driver in Kalamboli," explained Varsha, who has been looking after her ailing mother at their residence in Dombivli.
