Deputy MD of Warner Bros Picture India, Denzil Dias, said, "This film has had the best midnight opening ever for a film grossing 22.5 million dollars in the US and similar figures in India.

The morning shows in most multiplexes have opened to 90 per cent collections and the most of the weekend shows are sold out already. This is the biggest opening for a Potter film in India."
Multiplexes like Big Cinemas and Cinemax also reported good openings despite a mid-week release.
The head programmer of Big Cinemas, Rajendra Jyala said, "The movie had a 90 to 95 per cent opening across Mumbai."
But for Potter fans, figures really don't matter. "I loved the way the director has kept the pace of the movie.
Though is movie ends abruptly with a death, I like it because it's dark," said Swapna Joshi a Potter fan who queued up to watch the movie yesterday.
