Having scored 98.29 per cent, Rishi, a student of Jamnabai Narsee School in Juhu, scored the maximum in mathematics, computers, history and geography.

"I will celebrate with my father. I didn't really study too hard because I believe one needs to enjoy Std X. And when you are having fun, good things automatically come to you," said the 15-year-old Vile Parle resident who eventually wants an engineering degree from IIT.

Rishi's achievement gains even more value in light of the fact that he lost his mother during the board exams.

CBSE results out

The CBSE Std XII results were also out yesterday with girls outstripping the boys again. Around 6.3 lakh students appeared for the exam, of which 94 per cent of girls and 90.4 per cent of boys passed.
