Cops suspect he may have been under the influence of drugs when he fell from his fifth floor balcony
The mystery surrounding the death of Siddharth Iyer (22), a student of the Whistling Woods International Institute, remains unsolved.
Iyer, who was living in flat number 532 of a building in the Royal Palms Complex, Goregaon, since the last year-and-a-half died after he fell off his fifth floor balcony on June 26.

Cops now suspect that Iyer may have fallen to his death under the influence of ganja.

However, PI G V Anavkar of Aarey police station, said, "We are waiting for the forensic reports to find out the exact circumstances under which he died."
According to the police, Iyer's height was around 5.25 feet, while the height of the balcony grill is around three feet. Hence, it appears unlikely that he would have fallen accidentally.
Besides, the evening before his death, Iyer was partying with his friends from the institute in his flat. The police have found cigarettes with the drug ganja (hash) from the flat.
In their statement, Iyer's friends have confessed they smoked hash. They also claimed that Iyer wasn't depressed.
An officer, on condition of anonymity, said, "There are chances that Iyer might have smoked hash and fallen headlong to his death after losing his balance."
