Russian Suicide: He was alive for three hours

Andrean Alexander (22), a Russian cabin crew of Aerofloat, who jumped from the 16th floor of Hotel Trident was alive till 5 am.


Andrean Alexander (22), a Russian cabin crew of Aerofloat, who jumped from the 16th floor of Hotel Trident at 1.10 am was alive till 5 am. According to a source, he was talking in Russian. However, since there was no interpreter around, neither the doctors nor the police could understand what he was saying.

Marine Drive police are now trying to find out what conspired in room 1603. According to sources, a CCTV footage of Alexander shows him enter the room 11.58 pm with three colleagues u2014 Warrenkor Radri, Maria Gordiva (26) and Shatava Natalia (29).


According to his colleagues, he speaking on his phone and then suddenly jumped from the room. The last call from his phone was made to a number in Moscow which the police are now trying to find who it belonged to. Police also claim that he was in an inebriated state.


Alexander allegedly got agitated after his conversation on the phone, ran across the room and jumped out from the window.


His body was sent for a post mortem to J J Hospital. Two members of the Russian consulate escorted the body.


Sanju Soni, General Manager, Trident, termed the incident unfortunate. "The guest was rushed to the hospital where the doctors made all efforts to save him. Early this morning we were informed by the hospital that he had succumbed to his injuries. We extend our deepest condolences to the family of the deceased," he said.
