Nukkad director's Ek Tho Chance to premiere in Kerala next month

Saeed Akhtar Mirza, who made Nukkad, is back after a long hiatus of 15 years. His latest film Ek Tho Chance is all set to premiere at the 14th International Film Festival of Kerala next month.

The film, produced by Pritish Nandy Communications, stars Amrita Arora Ladhak, Purab Kohli and Vinay Pathak among others.

"Ek Tho Chance is a fantastic film and it's an honour to have Saeed Mirza back with a film after 15 years," said Bina Venugopal, artistic director of the festival.

Said Mirza, "Ek Tho Chance tells the tale of the millions who come to the city every day hoping to latch on to the magic of Mumbai.

I'm glad that we're screening it at one of my favorite international film festivals."

Pritish Nandy added, "When Rajat Kapoor suggested we approach Saeed Mirza to make a film for us, I jumped at the idea simply because great filmmakers never fade away.

Ek Tho Chance is the reason why we are in this city. Everyone wants that impossible, incredible, life-changing break and Mumbai never says no."

This will be Amrita's last film before she delivers her first child in February next year.

Said the actress, "I play a a model who is torn between someone ready to give her fame and fortune and her true love. It was great working with Saeed he's an awesome human being and a very good director."

Saeed Akhtar Mirza is best known for his films Albert Pinto Ko Gussa Kyun Aata Hain, Salim Langde Pe Mat Ro and Mohan Joshi Haazir Ho.

His last film Naseem (1995) was invited to the Directors' Fortnight at Cannes in 1996.
