Sexual harassment offender arrested

The Malad police have arrested Balwant Parmar, a junk dealer, for harassing girls in the neighbourhood of Ramchandra Nagar. Parmar would allegedly harrass every girl who passed by. After receiving many complaints against him, the police laid a trap on Saturday.



While one officer posed as a beggar, another posed as a vendor to keep a close eye on the accused. Soon, a girl passed by and Parmar made lewd comments and even tried to touch her. The offender was caught red-handed.

A resident of Dharavi, Parmar would visit Malad everyday, after he was apprehended for the same crime three months ago in Kandivli. Then, he had been let off by the cops with a warning.
