Jabil Abdullah Mohammad (40), accused of trying to beat his wife Nimmi Shrivastav (35) to death on July 19 in Andheri, is still on the run.
Nimmi, a mother of four, was admitted to the Kokilaben Hospital in an unconscious state after Jabil, an HR consultant, brutally assaulted her for refusing to accompany him to Bahrain where they had been living after their marriage in 1998.

Nimmi's sister Khushboo confirmed the incident to the police.
But Jabil's family refutes the allegations. "There is no proof. And if there was a dispute between the two, it is their personal matter," said Jabil's relative, who did not wish to be named.
Inspector Dattaray Sank-hye of Oshiwara police station told MiD DAY, "We have asked the Kokilaben Hospital to give us Nimmi's medical reports.
But if the reports are inconclusive, we won't be able to arrest Jabil. We are still investigating the case."
