The BMC is upgrading its SAP software so the system will be shut down from July 9 to 21. As all SAP servers will be shut down during the period, citizens and civic employees will not be able to carry out any transactions including citizen services, issuance of purchase orders or processing payments, issuance of birth or death certificates from before 2016, FICO challans, licences, marriage certificates, building factory licence, etc.
The SAP system will be closed from 8 pm on July 9 to 8 pm on July 21. During this period, the SAP servers will be migrated to another data centre and will be converted to SAP HANA platform.
